Daniela Libertad lives and works in Mexico and Germany. She is a graduate of Mexico's National School of Painting and Sculpture, La Esmeralda, and has a master’s degree in visual art from New York University. Libertad has participated in several solo and group exhibitions, including: Video Kitchen: Homemade Moving Images at Greg Kucera Gallery, Seattle, Washington, USA; Poste-bolsa at Casa Vecina in Mexico City; Leinzell Open 2010 at Foundation Collection Helmut und Sylvia Wickleder in Leinzell, Germany; 1.2 Volume at Polyforum Siqueiros in Mexico, DF. Libertad has been awarded both academic scholarships and artistic residencies in Mexico and other countries, most recently a FONCA Young Artists 2013 in the New Media category.
